Summer-story of the day: Police rescue sheep from pool
It is a refreshing animal and summer story from Bavaria: Police rescue sheep from a pool. In the end, three actors are wet and relieved: the sheep and two police officers.
Police rescue sheep from pool: What had happened?
A concerned local resident alerted the police in Nuremberg because a stray sheep had wandered into his garden from an adjacent meadow. However, two policemen initially failed in their attempt to capture the animal. The sheep ran in panic across the property, getting lost on the tarpaulin of a covered pool. The sheep sank into the water with the tarp and threatened to drown!
At first the police officers were not able to pull the frightened animal out of the water. They called another police patrol for help.
Police rescue sheep: last-minute story
Arrived on site, the hastened colleagues didn’t think long, got rid of their uniforms and jumped courageously into the pool in their underpants to save the sheep. Meanwhile, his wool had become saturated with water in a life-threatening way. It was a last-minute rescue!
All’s well that ends well, with a particularly nice ending: Three days after the rescue, the shepherd contacted the police. The runaway sheep, who was pregnant when she escaped, had given birth to three healthy lambs a few days after she was rescued. Mother and children are in good health!
