So cute: Police rescue Buzzard from motorway
Such a cute story: Police rescue a bird of prey on Thursday (16. 08.) on the A1 motorway near Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Several witnesses had previously seen the obviously injured animal on the middle guardrail of the motorway near the town of Ascheberg (40 km from Dortmund) and had alerted the police.

The hastened officials tried to capture the animal – initially without success. The frightened animal kept jumping in front of the police officers, which made it even more dangerous for the injured animal.
The police finally closed off the motorway in the direction of Bremen. “Armed” with a uniform jacket and gloves and with the support of her colleagues Reber Hussein and Patrick Brozsat, brave police commissioner Marlen Köster finally managed to capture the buzzard.
The three police officers took the injured bird to an animal shelter, where the buzzard is now being cared for and nursed back to health.
