Do you know VERO? Some people say, this new social media app is a great alternative to Instagram. What could make VERO even better than Insta is, that it comes with a chat function and you can share links and music, too – what makes it interested for me as a blogger (link share, wow!!). Thanks to it’s unique integration with Apple Music, users can listen to songs recommended by their friends without leaving the app. Damn, that’s what I’ve missed at Insta. I’ll give it a try!

So, what is VERO? Here are the basics
The app was launched in summer 2015. So it is not really new. It is a “relationship-first social network”, focused on providing users with a platform to share content and interact with others.
The platform allows users to take control of their online persona and seamlessly communicate with members of their network by identifying connections defined as ‘Close Friends,’ ‘Friends,’ and ‘Acquaintances.’ Where other networks think about privacy as an after thought, the content an individual shares on Vero can be limited to these specific relationship groups, allowing for an unprecedented intuitive experience over what is shared and who it is shared with.
You can send instant, private messages to your connections or a group of connections seamlessly within the app. Unique from other chat features, the content shared in your private messages will also show directly in your personal stream. The chat function is not simply another messenger app, but a fluid bridge between your social connections and the content that you share among one another.
In an age of oversharing and shouting, Vero brings the art of communication back to social networking. By replicating real-world relationships in an online setting, Vero provides a meaningful way for users to interact with people they know, like, and trust, in a private, advertising-free experience. You can share unique content and start conversations around movies, music, books, places, photos and more.
Vero delivers a true, personal connection with the people that matter to you and provides a level of permanence in a fleeting social environment by allowing users to protect, share and collect the moments that are most important to them. Through the Collections tool, content is no longer lost in the crowded room of news feeds and sponsored posts that other social networks have become. Now, users can see recommendations on the books others have read, discover new music that their friends are downloading, and uncover other hidden gems within the cities they are exploring.
Together these tools allow for enhanced content privacy, while also providing a more relaxed social sharing experience and natural communication tool.
Last year British GQ and social network Vero today announce an innovative content partnership that will see specially commissioned GQ editorial regularly on the Vero platform.
This collaboration delivers brand presence and content creation, combined to maximise the impact of GQ’s journalism, in this case offering a specific focus on music and the various lifestyle areas it impacts. British GQ’s channel on Vero will be home to recommendations and commentary from its award-winning writers and editors.
Founded in 2013, the app is a relationship-first social network. By replicating real world relationships in an online setting, it revolutionizes how we communicate as individuals and makes online relationships meaningful again.
