The Silverado Resort and Spa rests in the heart of the wine country known as Napa Valley. Home to some of the area’s most luxurious events, the Silverado is a spectacular getaway for couples or families looking to put away the phones and relax.

Rooms and suites are available in four areas of the resort. In the Mansion Estates, guests can stay in the resort’s elegant mansion that doubles as a boardroom and meeting area. Other sections of the hotel include the Cottage Drive, the Grove, and Oak Creek.

Rooms start as cozy as 270 square feet in the Mansion Estates with the suites reaching up to 1235 feet in the Oak Creek section of the Silverado Resort.

We found the rooms to be incredibly spacious with scenic views that had us reaching for the wine and the patio door for a drink at sunset.

When it comes time to eat, the resort boasts The Grill, a superb restaurant that serves all three meals, as well as a charming market and bakery that offers all the essentials plus any indulgence for the sweet tooth in your party.

The resort has one of the best spas in Napa Valley featuring services such as massages, manicures, pedicures, wraps, and facials. Packages are available combining some of the spa’s most popular services for individuals or couples.

The Silverado Resort and Spa also has a hair and nail salon that allows guests to get haircuts, coloring, French manicures, and even affordable packages for the children to make sure they feel included.

In addition to these exceptional pampering services, you can also take advantage of a state-of-the-art fitness center that has trainers on the ready to put you through an exhilarating workout utilizing the resort’s machines.

If you love golf, then the redesigned facility by PGA Hall-of-Famer Johnny Miller will satisfy your craving. Two courses, the North and South, have been crafted to entertain and challenge golfers of all skill levels.

Before your round, take advantage of the magnificent driving range and practice green and if you forget your club set, don’t worry as the resort offers an affordable rental service with premium Callaway clubs.

If you were asking me to choose the more entertaining course, then I would have to select the shorter South Course. Playing at roughly 6,600 yards from the Blue Championship tees, most of the par-4s at the South play less than 400 yards making them vulnerable to the occasional birdie.

If you are a low-handicapper, say in the single digits, then the challenge of the North course is more up your alley.  Measuring over 7,100 yards from the tips, the North layout is tighter and more demanding than its brother course. Be prepared to keep the ball straight and away from the trees that line most of the holes, and don’t forget to bring your golf watch to measure your performance.

And don’t forget that several times throughout the year, the resort hosts a golf academy that works as a two-day luxury camp to help refine and educate you on how to improve your game. Some of the best PGA professional teachers in the country run the academy, giving you access to top-notch instruction. In the evening, you are allowed unlimited play on either of the resort’s two courses.

If you are looking for more sports to play, then there are tennis courts and a pool, perfect for couples or the family looking for experiences to share with the entire group. With a host of amenities that will enchant and delight guests of all ages, the Silverado Resort and Spa is a fantastic vacation spot that creates beautiful memories.
